I am a Stereo MULTIAMP owner/user and have been trying to create a clean, Wes-like jazz tone running my Gibson L5 CES through the MULTIAMP and DV Neoclassic 4x12 cabinet. So far, I have been able to come close with the Darkface amp but I seem to be missing some crucial settings, as the tone is way too dark and muddy. I have tried slotting a Parametric EQ into the mix but I have clearly not chosen the correct frequencies to accomplish that end. If any users have managed to created the desired tone and would be willing to share their settings, I would be appreciative. Thank you in advance.

I actually set it to on to my clean preset, it makes the sound way fatter and i like it. Try just dealing a bit more with the standard EQ first, then, if you don't get to the sound you want, use the Parametric EQ

@andyrhoadsvai Standard setting into a guitar cabinet is for sure cab off. Especially if the problem is a dark and muddy sound.

It's not exactly truth, many people do use the cab sim, even with a real cab. I actually didn't read what your problem was, anyway try by slowly turning down bass until you get a good sound, and then maybe use the parametric EQ with very low frequencies, and set the level around - 1,1 if it's necessary

Hello, Thank you all for your suggestions. I have tried with cab on and off and, frankly, it sounds better with cab on. But no matter how I fiddle with the EQ I still cannot achieve that classic 60's jazz sound, however, I can come very close. So, in desperation, and although I plan to keep the MULTIAMP and DV Mark 4x12 cab, today, I purchased a Fender Deluxe Reverb hand wired clone. It has the sought after tone that requires very little EQ tweaking. I'm not really into tubes anymore, but it appears to be the easiest means to an end.
Addendum:
It is now 24hrs following the purchase of the Fender clone noted above and my view of same has changed. Despite the fact that the amp does produce the sought after, warm jazzy tone without much adjustment, its output is not nearly as clean as the MULTIAMP and it tends to break up—distort—at higher volume, which would equate with a volume setting of 3-4. I have been auditioning the amp in my home, in a carpeted 12x14' room and I am sorely disappointed. I really wanted to like this amp but I feel compelled to return it. And despite the fact that I have yet to discover the combination of MULTIAMP settings that will provide the exact tone that I desire, from my perspective, it remains a better and more versatile choice than the Fender clone.
