has anyone tried to rename a user bank on the computer before loading it on the sd card? seems like these artist presets load up in different user areas each time. i thought if i rename all patches to "user5" will they all load in user5 on the MULTIAMP? if so i can then move the ones i like before loading up more patches in the user5 area.

ok , i answered my own question. i just rename a user patch to user5 and then it will load in bank 5 every time. that way i can see which ones i like and move them to wherever. sorry if that was standard knowledge. i just wasnt sure.

Hi; To tell you the truth, there Is No STANDARD KNOWLEDGE really,There have been MANY ATTEMPTS By People, including Artists and "Ambassadors" on the MULTIAMP Site that have Kept ASKING DV MARK to Pen a NEW,More IN DEPTH,KNOWLEDGEABLE,And ,EASY To FOLLOW User Manual for the MULTIAMP,But,as YET,Nothing has been changed,SO,We Users/Owners have to rely on our More "TECHNICALLY "IN THE KNOW" People on the MULTIAMP Users Site and Our Own "TRIAL And ERROR" Experience with this KILLER AMP. I had ALMOST Gotten SO Disgusted at times trying to use the SD Card to Download,Then LOAD Information on the User Patches that some of the SUPER EXPERIENCED MULTIAMP Users had put on the forums for Those of us who wanted Tones that were like what they had come up with and Downloaded, though it seems that the MULTIAMP is VERY SPECIFIC to the Tone that someone will get, depending MUCH on the TYPE of GUITAR,PICKUPS,..(Single coil,Humbucker, etc, etc. SO,You may find what You THINK is Going to be Your "HOLY GRAIL OF GUITAR TONE ) and It's as FAR Away from what you are looking for as You can GET,... FRUSTRATING,YEP,BUT,When you either Tweak an Existing Preset,OR Make your Own,These are THE BEST SOUNDING AMPS I have EVER HEARD ! So,To me,I just leave it alone for a little Bit- couple of Hours OR a Couple of Days,..It'll come Eventually. Just STICK WITH IT,DON'T "Jump The Fence for a Different Head ",Hope they come out with a USEABLE MANUAL : ) GOOD LUCK! Bob Glendora,NJ

This post is a few years old but I'm a new user and have figured this problem out so it may help others. It seems like everything that you download is labled USER5.BNK. Once you import this into your machine it will upload to bank 5 and erase all other entries. You can rename this file while in your computer before the import, example; rename to USER4.BNK and it will do the same by replacing everything in bank 4. NOW with all that said here is the way to avoid losing all your homeade presets. Keep one of your user banks empty strictly for uploads. Once you upload stuff, check it out and move each individual file to another bank {press store and choose bank and enter name} and delete to keep the bank empty. Then keep the bank used for your favorites and continualy save it to keep it updated so you never lose your files. That may explain things the very sparse manual doesn't. Nivek.
