Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forums. I bought my MULTIAMP (stereo version) a couple of weeks ago, and I have been enjoying myself! I really like the clean sounds and the higher gain sounds of Triple 6 on channel two. Thanks to the discussion on this forum, I also learned that there are some hidden features (not all that hidden, really) that I didn't know about. For example, I didn't realize I could change the Recto setting to modern. I prefer that sound over vintage.
I'm located in Newport News, Virginia, and I play in the metal band called Echoes of Solitude. For live performances, I am currently using a Hughes and Kettner Coreblade, which is great, but I wanted to try out some other sounds.
The reason I bought the amp was because of Marco Sfogli and Andy James. Those guys are amazing! I am currently running the MULTIAMP in Stereo with two 2x12 Mesa Boogie Recto cabs. I am considering getting either the 4x12 DV Mark Neoclassic (or Standard cab ...is there a difference?) or two of the 2x12 DV mark neoclassic cabs. Which would you choose for good metal sounds? Would I be able to get really heavy sound from two 2x12 cabs? I only ask because it looks like the 2x12 DV cabs are open-backed. I love Dream theater, Metallica, Ozzy, and other stuff like that!
My main guitars are PRS SE 7 strings with Dimarzio pickups.
Thanks for starting the forum. I'm looking forward to the discussions, and I already have too many comments and questions to post on this thread!
