I'm having a really hard time upgrading. I tried to find a regular USB to USB cable and I guess they don't make them anymore, because I can't find one anywhere. So I decided to go the SD card route. I loaded the update on the SD card and inserted it into the MULTIAMP. It says no card is inserted. What the hell?!?!

I did mine via Sd card no problem, just followed the instructions on the web site and everything was ok ? Did you format the card before adding the files to it ?

Ha! I'm computer illiterate. I don't know how to format the sd card.

Hi Redline!!! Many MULTIAMP users had that problem, be sure that you're using an SD Usb 8GB or LOWER and It mustn't be and HD SD. Also be sure it is formatted FAT 32. If you just follow those instructions, everything should work properly

Another thing is: You have also to unpack the file you download (I know it's stupid but people forget to do it sometimes...)

I think you can format the card in the MULTIAMP. See if you can. Put it in and then look at the functions. I believe you have the option to format the sd card. After that just read and follow the directions from the website. Try it and good luck.

the downloaded and unzipped file is a folder. Does one copy the entire folder or only its contents to the SD card?

I think I put the unzipped files on the SD card. Try that. Also, format the card in the MULTIAMP before you copy the files. Good luck!

Thank you.
Actually, after entering my initial post, I checked the firmware version on my new MULTIAMP and noted that it is Ver. 3.0A. I assume that this is the most recent firmware version, unless the "A" reflects an earlier build?
In addition, I wonder if anyone has experience with the DV Mark 412 Neoclassic speaker cabinet? I am currently running the MULTIAMP through the single 12" speaker contained within a Mesa Boogie Mark IV combo—the MULTIAMP is in, mono, Bridged mode—and I am not entirely satisfied with the output ... more an issue with the speaker than the MULTIAMP.

I've not played the DV Mark 4x12 but I've ran mine through a cheap Ibanez 4x12 and marshall cabs at rehearsal rooms and it's sounded huge. I use two DV Mark 1x12's and they sound massive and so light to carry.

I posted a reply earlier, but for some odd reason it does not appear on this thread. So, here it is again. I ordered the DV 412 Neoclassic that I hope to use in stereo mode, assuming that the information that was provided by the seller is accurate, in regards to the 412 having 2 inputs on its rear. Despite the fact that the four speakers are contained within the same cabinet, I anticipate that stereo mode might benefit several of the MULTIAMP's effects, such as chorus, delay, etc. I will post back once I have auditioned the combination.

The seller is correct it is a stereo cab so will sound great with your MULTIAMP, it will give a great spread for those stereo delays etc
