Midi pedal not switching amp,

Hello all
My Midi, MULTIAMP pedal board is not communicating with the amp. My eight presets are shown (on the pedal board) but when any switch is activated, (1-8) it will not switch the amp. The presets ( I selected) are shown on the pedalboard, but nothing is switching on the amp. Even the tuner (#2) does not appear (on the amp). Someone suggested that the cable was bad, but I do not believe it is. I was trying to change a preset on the pedalboard when this happened so I believe it must be something minor.
