Direct out or use a mic ?

Hi guys,

Been using my MULTIAMP live for some dep gigs with great results, sounds huge, sits in the mix well and the small DV Mark 1x12's are superb.

I'm going in the studio in a couple of weeks and just wondering if I should just mic my cabs or copy my patches but add some cabs ? Time is limited to tweak etc up until then due to work commitments, so not sure what to do for the best.

What would you do ?

I don't know yet but I will probably go direct. I tried it at home going into a qsc k10. The cab sims come through on the direct outs so make sure you have them the way you want them to sound.

The most convenient is to go direct but I feel the MULTIAMP sounds much better using a cab, no matter the cab simulation you use when you go direct, especially when playing heavy rhythm sounds.
