I don't know why the MULTIAMP manual doesn't cover important things like having to hold the "ENTER" button to enable the foot controller. That's totally NOT intuitive, not something I'd ever have figured out on my own. How did YOU know about that? Is there a user's manual anywhere that covers a detail like that?
Well, anyway, i watched your video about how to set up the foot volume control and finally after several attempts, got it to work. Now my issue is that the entire range of volume, from silent to full volume all happens in the last quarter of the foot pedal's travel. I am going to go into it later today to adjust the "range" in the foot volume window, hoping to fix that. I had thought that messing with that value would make it so that you could never have the volume be "off" (Silent) at the bottom of the heel position. Maybe I need to think differently. Anyway, THANK YOU for doing this video series. You may be the ONLY source of this much needed information. One other complaint I have about the MULTIAMP - and I've shared this in the forum.... EVERY other MIDI controlled multi FX uses CC#7 to assign to foot volume. I have asked DV Mark to address this. Maybe a future upgrade firmware can give us that option... maybe as a workaround so that everyone who has gotten used to using CC#27 won't have to overhaul the whole unit. What if the output volume of any block... compressor, drive pedal, chorus, whatever - could have it's output level assigned to CC#7 so that the MULTIAMP could be used simultaneously with another device... Line6, Digitech, BOSS, Rocktron... That's really the whole REASON MIDI was developed in the first place. I want ONE foot controller to run several amps and effects together. MULTIAMP just doesn't want to play with anyone else. Otherwise I[m stuck using ONLY devices that allow me to assign any CC# to any parameter (Rocktron)

Thank you  I just made the videos so quickly.. Glad that you got it working. I think that MULTIAMP interface doesn't allow very intuitive options about doing things, but if you know how to do stuff, it's easy. If I remember right that foot controller assign was told in some update texts or somewhere.. You have good points of view! Hope they will update MA soon |
