Well...my first tests on the V5.0 are also quite disapointing... I've tried the auto wha/expression pedal combination, and even if I can get a wha effect with the pedal...the sound is not really good to my hears and there are some digital artefacts on double stops runs... I've also tried the pitch shift/expression pedal combination...and I seems that the pitch cannot be controlled via the expression pedal (message "no expression")...
I have to make more tests but for now my opinion is...a bad wha effect... and no whammy possibility... As these were the two upgraded effects I was waiting for...I'm quite disapointed after such a long wait...
I was thinking about buying a second spare MULTIAMP if Firmware 5.0 was good...but I think I'm going to look at other devices....

Hi everyone, here comes the next problem with 5.0. Since i have installed the new firmware my volume pedal (FCB1010) will work no more. Dose anybody have the same Problem? I´am wondering whats going on there. At the moment iám realy disappointed from the update.

Hi! I don't know if you are in our FB group but Riccardo wrote this there: "CC# assigned to expression pedal is not changed but with the new firmware 5.0 the expression pedal can also control other fx parameter so you've simply to go to the VOLUME PEDAL slot in the preset, press ENTER, choose the PEDAL parameter and press ENTER for few seconds to assign the expression pedal to this parameter and then STORE the preset with this configuration pressing STORE in hold for few seconds."

Yeah, thank´s a lot, Riccardo answered me direct via email, so here is his answer.
"The new firmware update V5.0 allows to assign the expression pedal to a parameter of effects so with this new version if you like to control the volume simply go to the VOLUME PEDAL slot featured in the preset, choose PEDAL parameter and press ENTER for few seconds and it will be assigned. Then press STORE in hold for few seconds to save this setting for the preset. As for the VOLUME PEDAL you can now have the same procedure to assign a different effect parameter to your expression pedal (as example the drive of a distortion, the time of a reverb, the regen of a delay) and store it in your preset. Hope that helps, feel free to contact us for any further question. Best Regards. Riccardo"

I was wondering that can we get whammy like effect when we use Pitch Shift effect in MA and set the Coarse value to +12 and set the Expression to Mix parameter? Will that do the job or does it sound? I tried that but I don't have experience in using whammy so I don't precisely know how it suppose to sound

Well after a few tweaks, the Wha Pedal based on the Auto Wha is "not so bad"... I've also tried what you said on the pitch shift ceccez, but you get something close to a harmonic/sustainer effect...quite interesting, but unfortunately this does not sound like a Whammy at all...
For my personal needs...a dedicated Wha and Whammy effects would have been a better choice than new amps in this V5.0...

Hi guys,
Just updated to 5, I waited for that cab on/off option when using the XLR outputs, the thing is that when you change the patches the amp does not remember my setting. And although it shows in the system setting that the cab is off, it actually is on. Any sugestions? I know that I could use the line out output but is it ok to crank the volume without the cabs attached? Obviously I am looking to record silently with my own impulse response cabinets in Logic Pro. Thank you

Hi guys,
I installed the 5.0 debug firmware today. I didn't use the MA for a while but now I'm hearing those bad digital swirl / artifacts when play the high e string - is this problem still valid? I thought they wanted to fix it...

My first post - and making mistakes posting blank messages... bear with me here. Anyone know a workaround for getting a MIDI foot controller to control a patch's volume using CC#7? I am aware that the default for using an expression pedal is CC#27... which is a HUGE mistake. The whole rest of the MIDI planet uses CC#7. Yes I know I can make adjustments on my foot controller... but the whole POINT of using MIDI is that I should be able to run several units from one MIDI controller. Scenario - I am running the MULTIAMP AND other preamps/combos by other manufacturers... say a Line6 Flextone, a Rocktron Chameleon... playing several units simultaneously. I want to be able to control the volume of all three units while I am playing, using one MIDI CC pedal. The whole rest of the MIDI universe uses CC#7 for volume, and some units cannot be tweaked to respond to anything other than CC#7. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!! Why did DVMark opt to have CC#27 as the volume pedal control? CC#7 is and always has been the universal MIDI standard for patch volume. Is is possible to assign CC#7 to some other output level - example - the output level of one of effects modules in the chain? Example - put a compressor in the path and assign CC#7 to the output level of the compressor? I am hoping to see this addressed in an update - hopefully the next one (if not somehow in the current one.) _______________________________________________________ How do I find out what the current version is? I just bought my MULTIAMP this past summer. I assume I am current because my unit HAS the effects that you all are mentioning.... Migliorizer, Attitude... The manual simply says: For more details about Firmware Update and to check if the firmware version that is currently installed on your MULTIAMP is the latest one, please visit the related section at www.dvmark.it. Oooooooookay... where would THAT section be?

It is disappointing that there haven't been any more firmware updates in the last four or more years.
I thought there might have been a wah pedal and a rotary and/or Univibe effect - how about it??
