i'm a MULTIAMP user since February. I've got the mono one. I play guitar in a little pop/rock cover band. Before that, i used a Digitech RP1000 through a TECH 21 Power Engine 2x60 and i can say i was very happy with it because of his quality, the number of effects, pedals and possibilities... But i was just looking for, maybe, some more realistics amp simulations...
I now use the MULTIAMP through an active speaker (Mackie Thump 12) connected with a XLR cable. But i think about trying a passive PA full range speaker with the builtin power amp. If any of you tried this solution, don't hesitate to give me a feedback. I drive the MULTIAMP with a Rocktron Midimate V2.
For the instance, i can say the amp sims on the MA are good but i'm a bit disappointed with the effects, no good flanger, no wah usable with an expression pedal, no big muff, and not so many usable distorsions pedals... I mean i often prefer changing the preset with another amp instead of enabling a distorsion slot to get a good sound.
So, i hope that the new firmware will be the good one.
If not, maybe i'll go back to the old RP1000 or why not trying the new MOD Duo stompbox...
