Hi folks. Just ordered my MULTIAMP FG today!! I played it a few hours in store and the sound (even the whole concept )is awesome. I think it is a very versatile, easy to use all-in-one solution. Guess there is no need to compare with the the Kemper or the FX8 orAxeFX. But seems to be a good workinghorse? I readed the discussion about the firmware updates. I dont need to update the system every week. For me it is better that the guys from DV Mark produce a serious, good working update which comes without bugs. Can't stand to get the machine and make my experiences. I mostly play Progressive Rock and Fusion. I let you know my impressions cause i like this forum and found it veeeery helpful!! Thx guys Cheers Ivo

Hi ivoammann, I personally own an axe fx 2 and my brother (who does play guitar too) owns a kemper profiling amp, and i can guarantee that the MULTIAMP is at the same quality of those two. Obviosly kemper is a totally different thing, but both MULTIAMP and axe fx are amp modeller so it's easier to make a comparison and, as i said, the amp quality on the MULTIAMP is more or less the same as the axe fx; obviosly there are amps which i like more on the axe fx and amp which i like more on the MULTIAMP (the progressive, on the MULTIAMP, which is MK IV sim, is good, but it definetely lacks of the Parametric EQ typical of all the mesa MK series...On the other hand, i reckon that the bogner xtc sounds better on the MULTIAMP, in particular on high gain sounds). About the updates it's just that having more "toys" once in a while it would be fun, and helpful since with the MULTIAMP you've got only 1/10 of the amp on the axe fx...But if you're fine with the amps already in the unit, it's great!!!

Yeepie. After 5 long weeks i got my MA FG! Great play and feel! I am pretty impressed about the dynamics. Even thou its a solid state engine. Easy to use, very nice sounds out of the box and no mess with lots of cables and pedals: i love it! The only thing i will put in the fx loop is my loved Carl Martin AutoWah? Cant stand to play it again this evening. Is the Footcontrol worth to get?
