Thanks for getting back with me. I will email you some presets tonight after work. I did some testing last night and this is what I found.
Equipment tested with:
1. LTD Andy James guitar (AJ-1)
2. Marshall 1960 slant cab
3. Standard 20’ guitar cable
Preset config:
1. Tested with using only and Amp block
1. Pick attack plays into how intense the swirling sound is. You can have lots of gain and pick very soft and its okay, but if you pick normal or really dig in it gets worse.
2. The 5150 amp has the issue, but it seems to oscillate slower
3. All amp models and channel 2 and 3 have this issue
Two other things a noticed that were very audible differences between the other amps
4. Triple 6 is very compressed and squishy
5. Ecstasy channel 3- very little gain
Thanks, Lamar

Thanks Lamar, looking forward to receive the presets by email. About points 4 and 5 no other feedback from users about the difference you feel, these amps respect the character of original models. Best, Riccardo

Ecstasy Channel 3 is my fave for medium to high gain. Sounds fantastic and has lots of growl, but cleans up great with guitar volume, very responsive.

I will also add the serial numbers for both of the MULTIAMPs that I've owned. Just in case its a hardware issue, you might be able to trace back a build batch or something.
Cheers.

Ah, right.
I've never noticed this on mine, will have to have a closer listen but certainly not jumping out at me ?

It is pretty clearly audible when you play high gain esp with headphones. I've never noticed it using a cab though.

Great thread. Thanks to everyone who's posted. My Ch3 Ecstasy has no gain either. It sounds like a clean amp.

Hi headsawyer, i know what you mean... It's not a problem it's just the standard setting of the Bogner extasy, in order to have more gain you can: 1) open a patch with that amp, go on the AMP "box" (NOT ON THE MULTIAMP, IN THE PATCH) and click ok, so you'll get in screen more setting for the bogner extasy: There's also a boost and some other amazing things...You'll find many different options also for the mesa recto and for the DV mark triple six... Hope you have understood, let me know if you solved that problem!

I use that patch for my main dirt sounds, with the extra parameters and an eq in front.
