I always have the cab sim off when playing live, and i'm not that found of the built in cab sim. The MULTIAMP would sound far better if it allowed to use impulses imo.
Live, I started with the bogner, but finally I am stuck on the 5150 simulation. I tend to put much mids, highs and presence at taste, and lower the bass sometimes to the max. I adapt my settings to the cab i am using and also the environment (the room can have a huge role).

I use it with a Boogie 2X12 Rectifier cabinet. Getting lazy. i don't wanna lug around my Boogie 4x12 with EV's in it anymore. Way to heavy. It does sound better through the 4x12 in Stereo mode. Cab sims are off for me too. I've had some gigs where I would get more feedback than usual. I have yet to figure out why. But for the most part it does the job real well. My buddy gearheed (member here too) might sell his and I may buy it from him just to have as a back up. I really do like this thing for what I'm doing (90's grunge/alternative/metal). I don't think anything beats a great tube amp but I'm not sure I care anymore. This is nice and easy. Quick set up/break down. And sounds real good. My experiences so far have been pretty good in the live setting. I think I'm going to stick with this for awhile. Hopefully DV Mark has bigger plans for this.
