Yeah it's very precise but also very simple (there's just one control) the thing that i totally love is the reverb, it's simple, and awesome! (really MULTIAMPish ahahah)

Well, i installed the new firmware, hoping for the bests. DV Mark delivered, no swirling, a better sound, and the new add-ons are amazing, yeah. Though the Amplitude didn't impressed me much, it's too dark..i guess it's a matter of tastes. I'm in love with the new Maragold, the clean channel is lovely and the lead channel it's something out of this world. Clean yet punchy, with a superb note definition. Man this thing screams! I'm in love once again, the long wait was well worth it

I quickly tested the new firmware and MA sounds are definitely better, rooock! I tried Maragold amp and I listened the original Maragold head demo from Youtube at the same time and to me MA and the original amp sounded pretty much the same. Channel 3 model is great! The Warmer effect is cool. The effect was more efficient when placed after the amp block.. I tried also mod delay and it was so fun and stylish The new spill-over feature is really good and preset switching is awesome now! Thank you Dv Mark!

Looking at buying one of these MULTIAMPs i was set on a axe fx but im tempted! What are the high gain sounds like compared to the axe with this new update?? You'd be making a great choice but as far as really high gain stuff goes I think the AXE is hard to beat but, the fact that you can buy 3 Stereo MULTIAMPs for the price of one AXE2XL..... :-0 The High gain amps do sounds fantastic on the MA and you get a 500Watt power amp built into the unit so you can drive some nice big cabs. It's a very easy decision. With update version 4 I think the MULTIAMP might be the best modeler on the block. It's a fucking serious bit of kit that sounds amazing out of the box but will not make you sell a kidney to own one.

Looking at buying one of these MULTIAMPs i was set on a axe fx but im tempted! What are the high gain sounds like compared to the axe with this new update?? As a metal player I really love the 5150 and the bogner ecstasy mods on the MULTIAMP.You also have Mesa rectifier, mesa Mark IV, DV mark triple 6 .. You will have a lot more options and sims on the fractal to shape your sound (too many imho) but you also have to consider the price, the fractal is much more expensive especially here in Europe and it comes without a power amp. I once thought about buying one but even a 2nd hand axe-fx ultra is almost the price of a brand new MULTIAMP. I bought the MA because it's simple and reasonably priced. Can't really tell about sound difference since I've never owned or tested an axe myself but I know some ppl like the MA sounds better even though it's a cheaper unit. Most ppl agree to say both units sound really good, it's more a matter of how you want to use it. The MA still lacks one important feature though : reamping (you can't stream audio signal through the MA) If you're fairly new to amp modeling and primarily enjoy playing your instrument on a simple and efficient unit I would suggest the MA. If you're a sound geek, do a lot of recording and have 3k to spend, go fractal. Just my 2 cent. Hope that helps.

Can someone explain the spill over feature please? Are we talking about with delays and reverbs where it continues even though you've switched sounds?

I tried that quickly and at least delays continue to repeat when you change presets.. which is really awesome!!! I didn't test that on reverbs..

I've quickly tried the new update, and I think it's on the (very) good way. Fast preset changes, excellent point (I've got the MULTIAMP pedalboard which is a little exepensive...but really excellent, compact and very nicelly built).
Concerning Digital Swirls, the problem is not 100% solved but let's say 65/75% which I think is a very good start. I still hear it on high gain settings/bendings etc...but less than on the V3.0 The next V 5.0 will be perfect I am sure!! With an upgraded Anti-aliasing I hope!
Congratulations to the DV Mark people for their nice job on this upgrade.
I'm loving my MULTIAMP more and more !!!

I just forgot...the new Warmer seems to be the perfect tool to "Jazzify" a clean sound...I love it!
