Just got the Helix the other day and I think that I will be saying goodbye to MULTIAMP. The sound and options in the helix out do the MULTIAMP in pretty much every way for me. It is sad though I love the MULTIAMP but the lack of support and updates for it leave it behind.

Sad to hear that from so many people... The MULTIAMP is an amazing machine and to be honest you're quiet right...Just hope they'll give much more support (and in particular updates) in the future for the users...

Maybe you can keep it for a backup?

I must admit the helix does look good and from watching the Pete Thorn demo sounds great too. But I still feel the MULTIAMP is a perfect live set-up for me. Maybe in a studio environment there are other units that have more features, but having said that you can still get great results with the MULTIAMP. So for me having had the unit for over a year now it's still a keeper.

Remember those demos are meant to sound good to get you to buy it. It's advertising. Maybe try it out and see first? I watched lots of MULTIAMP demos and bought one to try for 30 days before I had to return it. I liked it so I kept it. Just remember, the MULTIAMP gets better with each update. Maybe wait a while and see? I don't know, but I'm keeping mine.

the lack of support and updates is almost "outrageous" for every MULTIAMP owner in my opinion, MULTIAMP has enormous potential and sounds good, but everything is "destroyed" with this incredible absence of regular updates and support (even by mail), it' s like to be throwed alone in the open dark space. Thinking about storing a sound without changing patch name by pressing for long time the "store" button.....where is this info in the user manual? ?? Without this forum I probably would have sold MULTIAMP 6 months ago (and I've buyed it 9 months ago).....thanks guys of that forum for all. Update to firmware 5.0? 2018? 2019? bye from Italy (sorry from my english)

I agree with you! Situation is frustrating. It seems that DV Mark only develop and publish new products and forget MULTIAMP totally. I asked Riccardo about the status of new firmware update and he answered: "Our Tech Dept. is working on new update but release date is not fixed yet". I hope they put that to the top of their priority list now.. And I also hope that they have read our suggestions for new the features to fw 5.0 from this forum..

in a normal situation you don't have the need to write e-mail...do you imagine yourself writing a mail to Jim Marshall (R.I.P.) to know something about new release or to ask something about problem of some product? when you write "It seems that DV Mark only develop and publish new products and forget MULTIAMP totally" you say the truth. Sad but true. and the thing that is blowing my mind is that MULTIAMP has the potential to be a masterpiece, better than any POD, Kemper, Boss, even better than fractal for some use...think about the power amp inside the MULTIAMP, one of the best handcrafted transistor amp on the market.
i don't know why this lack of everything happens.

I would hang in there. I am. I personally think that DV just got ahead of themselves. I'll bet the next update is going to be great. If not, then I can see moving on, but it sounds pretty good. I like mine and hope that they work on my concerns, just a few things, and then it can be an all in one for me.

I'm thinking of getting a MULTIAMP. On paper, it looks perfect for my teaching, gigging, practicing ... great for all situations. I have some questions about the interface. I'm blind, and before you all go "wow, amazing!" I'm very used to memorizing button and knob layouts, what to press when, etc. I can't imagine having much trouble memorizing how to do things on the MULTIAMP. I have a couple of questions though. First, do lists of amp models, effects, cabs etc. wrap around? That is, if you're on the first item in a list and go up, do you bounce around to the end of that list? If not, if you hit either the first or last item and stay there, this would give me reliable places to orient myself. i.e. I'd use those as landmarks and count button presses from there. The same goes for the dial for adjusting parameters. Do parameter values wrap around or hit fixed limits? thanks Chris P.S. Also, I'm in Ontario Canada and trying to find someone who actually has one of these in stock. I need to actually plug into a MULTIAMP and see how it feels and responds. Online demos sound great but can be misleading. Thanks for any help with the above.

Hi there!! I'am almost getting one for myself... but.. there is a but... Your concerns about the lack of updates and feedback from the company leaves me very worried .. will I make a good choice? Or do I get the AX8 that has stable software and plenty of updates? What do you advise me to do?
