Hi! Does anybody have experience comparing DV Mark cabs with other cabs? Are they really good sounding cabs? I was wondering in speaking of sound quality and also fullness of sound that which one of the following would be better: a) continue using my two Laney IRT 2x12 (160W RMS) (quite cheap cabs) which gives me opinion to run them stereo b) buy an DV Mark 2x12 cab (300W RMS) (quite costly) So does DV Mark 2x12 sound really good when compared with other 2x12 cabs which are not so pricey? And do I get the same fullness and punch with DV Mark than using my 2 x 2x12 cabs? Or would it be wise to consider buying 4x12? Lots of questions...

Lots of questions for sure :-)
I've used a few of the Mark cabs and they sound really good but the best part is how light they are. Si if I was looking into a new cab setup I'd be getting a 2x12 for sure.
At the Mo I'm mainly in the studio so I'm running direct with cab sims on.
Also try leaving the cab sims on when running into a real cab as it makes a big tone difference and sounds ace!

I bought the Dv Mark c4x12 from eBay. It was slightly used for $399 no shipping charge. It is a remarkable cab. Fast response on the picking, tight, articulate and has astounding projection. Beats the many cabs I've owned over the years. I have to assume their 2x12 cabs are equally as impressive.

Thanks for the replies and tips! I've always dreamed of 4x12 but never had the possibility to get one because I've spent my money to other expensive gadgets

I'm having a 2x12 built for me and I'll let you know how it turns out. I am using Tonkerlites and will put them in the cab. They are great speakers and very light. I had a dv 4 12 and sent it back only because it was the older one and was a thin cabinet. I couldn't set my amps on it! But it sounded good. Right now I am using 2 1 12 cabs with the Tonkerlites. They sound great. 5 pounds each and very efficient.
Good luck!

FYI I saw the 2 12 being built and it sounds great and is very light. I am waiting for him to cover it and add hardware. It's taking forever but I think it will turn out well. I'll keep you posted. The Eminence Tonkerlite sounds great and is a good match for the MULTIAMP IMO.
